So that's the number one principle is about early prevention. And of course, we also treat the root cause of the condition instead of treating the symptoms. So a lot of people, when they have pain, they just think, oh, let me reach for Tylenol or a leaf, which is only treating the symptoms. And you really need to address the root cause to see where your pain comes from and why you're experiencing pain. Instead of reaching for Tylenol and other painkillers, we should like look into the root cause of the pain and address the root cause. Then you don't need painkillers.

SPEAKER_00

Welcome back to Not Alone with Melissa Sue Methvin. Today's guest, I am deeply excited, and I know this will be important information for my audience because, as much health information that we receive, there's a lot of noise. So what if the future of medicine isn't about choosing between Eastern medicine and Western medicine? But finally understanding the wisdom within both. And what if disease doesn't simply appear one day? What if our bodies have been communicating with us for years through inflammation, exhaustion, stress, emotional imbalance, and subtle changes we may never have learned to recognize? My guest today has spent her life exploring these questions. Dr. Yi Song comes from an extraordinary lineage of traditional Chinese medicine spending 17 generations while also earning her PhD at Brown University and studying aging, cancer, and cellular damage through the lens of modern science. Today we're going to talk about something I'm deeply curious about. What happens when ancient healing wisdom meets modern regenerative medicine? We're going to explore cancer, chronic disease, inflammation, longevity, stem cells, the role of our emotions and environment, and whether prevention may begin much earlier than we realize. She also owns a retreat, Xener Chi, in Colombia, where she can facilitate some of these treatments. And I also want to ask some of the bigger questions. What is the body trying to tell us? How much of our health is genetics, and how much can we influence? And can understanding the root of imbalance change the trajectory of our health? Dr. Song, welcome to Not Alone. It is a deep honor to have you on today. I am so happy to be here. Yes, I know I'm going to learn a lot, and I know my audience too, and maybe bring some clarity to the next step to some people that might have gotten some diagnosis of cancer, or and they're being thrown into the system is what it the healthcare system where they only treat the symptom. And now we're realizing that it's it to really get to the root, we have to look back into probably our genetics, our generationally, what we've been carrying. I know for you, you know, you've been 17 generations of your family practiced Chinese medicine. And then you trained in pathology at Brown. What did you learn from your ancestors that you believe modern medicine has forgotten?

SPEAKER_01

I mainly learned about the six principles I wrote in my book that over a long period of time of practicing Chinese medicine and seeing all the people complaining about Western diagnosis and looking for help, I realized actually a lot of these conditions can be prevented early on in their stages that people didn't realize they could have done something to prevent them from developing. So I don't even have any painkillers in my house, and I never take any painkillers.

SPEAKER_00

I love to hear that because I've I've lived firsthand seeing what painkillers can do. My husband, he had uh back pain and, of course, went to see his doctor, prescribed painkillers in a long road of painkillers. It just added more symptoms, more side effects, and of course, they're highly addictive. So I saw the ripple effect for mental health, his own health. And so that's why I try to find experts, and I love that you you you found me, and I feel uh that is such a gift because I'm going to learn in my audience is how do you get to the root cause? Like, are you what are the tests that you look at? Do you look at um, I know, emotions, deep emotions, you know, that are in our bodies, and if we never process them, then it can manifest in symptoms as well.

SPEAKER_01

So to recognize the root cause of any symptoms or any imbalance we experience in our body, we not only just look at the test results, because uh Western diagnostic tests they can offer some insights, but a lot of times people they say they don't feel right, but they have all the blood tests done, everything's normal. So what is wrong with them? And then that's when the traditional Chinese medicine theories from thousands of years ago can come into play because we don't just look at the body as a machine with different parts, and let's just diagnose with a test or a certain movement to see where the machine is broken, because a lot of times your body is like a garden, and when you have certain symptoms, your problem actually came from somewhere distal from where you experience the pain. Just like we're talking about the emotion can also affect a lot of physical symptoms, and a lot of people they don't realize that, so they think their physical symptoms is only the headache, the stomach pain. But in reality, like nowadays, Western medicine are starting to talk about the relationship between emotion and the microbiome in the gut, but that is not enough because actually there's a lot more than that.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, and I I actually lived that. I learned that the hard way is that I was suppressing so much the fear, living with a husband now that was uh addicted to pain meds, alcohol, and it was just spiraling. I I lived in a lot of fear and a lot of uncertainty. And the minute he would arrive home, I'd feel really tense. And actually, even though I've always been on a preventative health since my early 20s into naturopathic and exercise, mindfulness, nature time, and and and faith, I had severe acid reflux to the point that I can only eat bone broth and bread. And I remember going to see a couple of specialists, and they're like, oh, you have GERD and wanted to prescribe, you know, mess medicine for that. And I was like, no, I'm not gonna take that. This just doesn't make sense to me as to why. And as I dove into, uh, my husband now has passed, it's been four years uh from suicide. I I dove into finding out the root cause. What happened? What happened? I got so curious. Okay, how come I didn't fall into that, you know, mental health spiral, and why he did, and what was um were we doing a little bit different, and what we could have done for him. And that's I started with myself. And what I realized that that chronic stress that I was living in was affecting my gut. Yeah, and that's where the acid reflux and I had to do a lot, a long road of uh gut health repair, but it's had to start with my nervous system, actually. It had to start with finding safety again. Uh, I was so dysregulated and living in and where no I couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, and but I knew to survive, I had to work. And that's how I got into breath work actually. Uh breath work, cold plunging, red light therapy. And um, of course, I did a lot of uh inner child work, so the deep-rooted emotions that I was kind of harboring. So I'm I'm forever learning. I've done a fashion maneuver this summer for my whole family. So I'd love for you to speak on that maybe for yourself, what you've seen with your patients once they've worked on kind of getting to that root of the emotion they were holding. For example, if it's a lot of anger, right? Anger is rooted in the liver. Is that correct? It's stored in the liver.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. So let's go into that because um, like the acid reflux medication, most of your doctors will give you in Western medicine is just to mask the symptoms. And a lot of times it doesn't even work for alleviating the symptoms. And it actually works opposite, because the acid reflux medications is to suppress your stomach, to secrete the acid that is used to digest the food. But then you have acid reflux, they think you have too much acid. In reality, when people have acid reflux, in most cases, 99% of cases, is because their stomach is too weak and they cannot control the acid well. So that's why they feel the heartburn, all these things. But it's now because the stomach is secreting too much acid. So if you take the proton inhibitors, uh, those medications, it suppresses your stomach to secrete more acid, which should be used to digest the food. And then instead you have less acid secretion, then your stomach is even weaker than before. So that's why it really doesn't solve the problem. It's only treating the symptoms that not even patching the you know, the hole on the wall if the scenario is like a house with a hole. So that's why we have to look deeply into why so many people have acid reflux or these types of conditions. It's because when you have a lot of emotional stress, the first thing that the emotional stress acts on is the liver. This is energetic level. So if you imagine your body is like a garden with irrigation system, when you have a lot of emotional stress, anger, depression, anxiety, it actually makes the irrigation system clogged up, not being able to move things smoothly. So what controls the irrigation system in Chinese medicine goes to the liver. So that's energetic liver function, not just about the liver organ detox. But because the liver cannot control the flow of the irrigation system well, then the irrigation system is jammed up in certain areas, and in certain areas you don't even get any water irrigation nutrients needed for the body to flourish. So then the first part of irrigation system not moving correctly is acting on the digestive system. Because our digestive system is a part of the system in our body to move, transform, and transport the food, the essence we get from our daily nutrients to support the body function. So if imagine the irrigation system is clogged up, then basically you can now transform and transport the food, the essence to your body efficiently. So that's when the system, the overlong term of stress, emotional stress, anxiety, uh, depression, that's why so many people experience a lot of digestive system symptoms.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and then they have a hard time uh taking on all the nutrients of what they're eating, right? And so they could be, you know, losing their hair, more fatigue, and and a lot of people brush it off to like, well, I'm a mom, I'm getting older, maybe perimenopause, but it's actually uh oftentimes just the emotional and a gut issue. So do you find yourself repairing uh the guts for a lot of your patients first before treatment?

SPEAKER_01

Or actually, what we do for most people with if we recognize they do have the emotional stress component contributing to their physical symptoms, sometimes it's not just you know, digestive system. Maybe they already have digestive system weakness, and then they add on to all those layers, they may also have headache, will have um maybe even um colitis or uh different pains throughout the body, or even like fibromyalgia, they label all these conditions that they don't know what's going on. And a lot of times when you have long-term emotional stress, you can also make your immune system out of whack. So that's why a lot of people, over long-term periods of stress, they also will develop some autoimmune conditions that they don't understand why they get it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's so important that people to recognize that. And I'd love to just describe, I know you talk about like a garden, and I actually say that in my book as well, the Got God Connection, that it's like an Amazon, and you need a balance of the fungi, the parasites, and then finding that balance and finding harmony in your body is so important. And so, do you since I'm a breath work facilitator and do meditations, and so are you a firm believer to that? Do you have a practice like that for yourself?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I am definitely a firm believer of meditation, breath work, or any different methods, even like you talked about fascia release. All these things is to help the body facilitate the movement of the energy throughout the body, facilitate the irrigation system. So we have so much daily stress in our life, sometimes it's not something we can really control. So, in that kind of case, we add stress to our body, but then we need to have our own downtime allocated so that we can de-stress and then make the clock irrigation system move freely again. So that's when the meditation, breath work, or anything like grounding, uh going into nature, um, all these things will help your body to get rid of the stagnation caused by the stress from many other external factors we just have to live with.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's the thing. We we don't live uh in a you know in the mountains and where there's no EMFs. And so I do feel it's important nowadays to do that on a regular basis, you know, on a daily basis, just because our environment is so toxic for our nervous system. And actually, I noticed that once I went to uh I was on a documentary called Rider's Island, and we went to this beautiful remote island and the BVIs, and it was right by the ocean, a lot of grounding, you're always barefoot, and and the elements were so clean, you know, no white noise at night and even light noise. And and when I got back home in Gilbert, Arizona, I just I had so many, I could feel it. I was so dysregulated. It was really hard for me to reintegrate to my home. And so it made me realize, wow, you know, I don't realize it, what's affecting me on a daily basis in my own home. So I do have these practices of doing the breath work. I have my red light, I have a PMF mat that I lay on on a daily basis, or or sound healing uh is so important. And I know you are, you have your your retreat, uh Zener G, if you could tell us a little bit about that and stem cell, because stem cell is something I, the only thing that I I go to the Law Health Conference, I know it helps with you know injuries and pain, but I'd love to even know more how to use it preventatively. Uh, so I just love to share uh for our audience here that don't know a lot about stem cell, but how it could possibly be a life-saving tool for them.

SPEAKER_01

Sure. So let's start with how we distress ourselves. And that's exactly why I fell in love with this place in Colombia where I had the retreat. Because when I got here by accident in 2017, I just felt my energy, my body felt so much better staying here. That's how I ended up coming back here to find a piece of land I really love. And the property I have for the energy retreat has two rivers flowing on both sides of the property, and then they met at the they meet at the end of the property. So it's like very soothing, even now when I'm talking to you. I actually I'm facing the forest, and then down the balcony is the stream, I can hear the stream flowing. So all these things like we talked about earlier, like the sound, the nature, uh, the air, the sun, all these things will help your body to fight the stress we have from our daily activities, the work, the life, uh, and everything. So that's why every time I come here, I feel my body can get more energy from the the earth, from the universe, and I feel more uplifted. And then the stem cell actually comes afterwards because I already had this property, I already started building the retreat, and then I just got into um introduced, I got I was introduced into this lab in Colombia. And then at that time I started learning about more about stem cells, of course, because I had my background in molecular biology, in cell culture, pathology, so I can easily understand all these concepts. And actually, the original concept of using stem cells to help human health, human body, is not just within the past 20 years. It actually rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and ancient practices. Because in traditional Chinese medicine, we have been using dried up placenta to nourish people's body for thousands of years. And so that's why I could easily relate the concept of using umbilical core stem cells to help boost people's body energy to help it heal faster. Because when we age, everybody, their body is aging, their body's regeneration capability declines. So we can now keep up our regeneration with our daily activity and wear and tear caused from daily activities. So that's when the deficit accumulates. So when that happens, and over a long period of time, we can now regenerate fast enough to replace the damaged tissue. So that's how we accumulate the damage over time and then develop aging-related degenerative conditions. So if we want to really address the root cause of aging, which one of the root causes is stem cell exhaustion in our body because the number of stem cells and the dividing regenerative capability of our own body stem cells decline all the time. So that is inevitable. But what we can do is we can add some new umbilical cord stem cells to it's as if we're adding some new firewood to the fireplace that is diminishing. So then we can also work on other things like meditation, breath work, working on our body's balance to improve the environment for the fire to burn in the fireplace. So that's how we can slow down the decline in the fire. And then that's how we prevent the onset of a lot of aging related degenerative conditions.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. I I'm I love that explanation. It's like just prevent because I know you talk about our constitution. So kind of uh making, you know, our genetics. I actually just did a genetic. Testing for myself, my mom, and I'll be doing my kids, uh, mostly just to know, okay, what are my genetics? And I think I have an awareness too, what am I carrying emotionally from ancestors, you know, from my grandma, my mom, what am I carrying emotionally? Because I believe that's passed on. But you say it's important to know your constitution, so then you know what you can work on for preventative measures, right? Are you a big believer in getting your genetic testing and understanding that?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I did actually get my genetic testing last year as well, out of curiosity, and also because um I know nowadays we have more advanced testing to even tell you you have these genes associated with your neurotransmission that can make you prone to develop certain um anxiety, depression conditions. So that is a good, very good information. And what I learned from my genetic testing is that I don't have very good detox gene um phenotype, so I need to pay more attention to how to detox my body, and also I learned from my genetic testing that my circadian rhythm gene is not optimal, so then that's why I need to do different things to help my sleep better, even though I don't have a lot of sleep problems. But when I reach 50, I realize that I start having some sleep disturbances that I never had before. So if I know that I do have that predisposition, then I can do the right things to work on so that I don't cause, you know, I don't do things to disturb my sleep further. And also the body's constitution goes also beyond the genetic testing. So in traditional Chinese medicine, we also look at people's body type and what kind of imbalance they are born with. So a lot of times we were talking about like emotion over uh acting over liver, then causing the digestive system weakness. But I myself actually I was even born with digestive system weakness, passed down from my mother or my father, I don't know where it came from, but I definitely had digestive system weakness. So if you know that, then you will do try to modify your lifestyle so that you don't further weaken your digestive system. Because you can see some people they can eat all the ice, uh, all the raw food, drink all the ice cold drinks they want, and they don't have any of that digestive system symptoms because they inherently have very strong digestive system. But for me, I just cannot do that. If I do that, I actually further weaken my digestive system that I already inherited by birth from births that it is weak. So I don't want to do things to further weaken my digestive system so that I would develop digestive system weakness symptoms. So that's why I don't have a lot of digestive system symptoms, but that doesn't mean I don't have that inherent weakness.

SPEAKER_00

And this is what I'm seeing is not it would create fear. A lot of people are afraid to do genetic testing because then you know it could shift your mindset about it, say, oh well, I'm gonna get it because my mom did, you know, but it's more of information. So what can you eat? Change maybe your lifestyle, like you said, or maybe some of these, you know, tools like stem cell or uh glutathione, things like that that could help boost your immune system. And so I'm just really curious. For example, I'd come to you and I'm um I let's say somebody's been diagnosed with leukemia, but in remission now and open to alternatives, right? What's the next step now to help the remission process? Because you know, they've gone through uh chemotherapy and what their the treatments they're being told to do today. You know, most hospitals, that's kind of what they do now, right? It's the chemotherapy and they must trust this process, but how do they rebuild their strength after uh once they're in remission? What would you recommend?

SPEAKER_01

So, in that kind of sense, we have to address each person's body individually. So we need to do the consultation. If this person comes to me, first I need to understand this person's health history so that I can pinpoint or I can already have the sense from the consultation what kind of genetic constitution or uh constitution from birth this person has uh from her uh from this person's parents or family. And then also the postnatal life can also, you know, we can talk about in epigenetic if we want to say in modern term, but postnatal life can also affect your genetic composition because even though you don't change your genes inherited from your parents, but then you have these epigenetics that can affect how your genes function. So we need to understand all these things, plus this person, what kind of imbalance he or she still have, because uh even though their leukemia is in remission, uh, if they have uh this condition in the past and also they already had chemotherapy, their immune system must have been weakened, and then the imbalance in the immune system can also cause other symptoms. So we need to understand that. Then we can start thinking what is what are the modalities this person needs to incorporate into the lifestyle so that they can strengthen their immune system and also prevent the relapse of the cancer or even having some other type of symptoms or conditions arising. So we need to address all these things in the consultation.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, I like that because it gets very confusing. I have uh many friends that kind of gone through uh a hard diagnosis and they're in remission, and it's they're ready for something different, but there is, you know, as you know, there's so many different uh uh points of view from even her their own doctors, and there's fear when it comes to something that's outside the box because even stem cell in the US, I think that's why you're in Colombia, it's not FDA approved, right? Can you explain why it why it's not?

SPEAKER_01

I think one reason is because the umbilical cord mesenchema stem cells we utilize in our treatment, they are not a one-lineage cells. They are a mixture of several different subtypes of misenchemaal stem cells, including uh mule stem cells, if you have ever heard of it, it's like a trendy word in stem cell research right now. Uh, so it has so many different subtypes and it's not a single mixture. So that's why it's very difficult to standardize. And then the other reason is um for any FDA approval, you need to have clinical trials. So to do any large-scale clinical trials like any pharmaceutical uh drugs, medications, you need to spend almost $2 billion to do that, to get the FDA approval, to submit the data. So all these things, it costs a lot of money, and there's no incentive for the pharmaceutical company to spend $2 billion to do the medical, to do the clinical trial for stem cells if they cannot patent this, because this is something happening naturally, and it has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years, even though now we're using more advanced technology to isolate the cells to make more quantity that can give you very strong therapeutic effects. But the concept is not new and it's not something they can patent. It's not like a chemical, a peptide, or something they can patent. So, and it's something naturally occurring from the umbilical cord or even in your fatty tissue or bone marrow. So it's not something unique or um never existed before. So that's why a lot of pharmaceutical companies nowadays they try to find induced pluripotent stem cells that can be patented if they can find some kind of therapeutic um effects on certain disease using induced pluripotent stem cells instead of the umbilical core stem cells or even the stem cells from fatty tissue or bone marrow.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Oh well, I love that explanation, and that's why I love uh having this information. I love having my podcast for this because don't wait till it gets mainstream, you know, get to know what's out there and see if this could be a good option for you to get stem cell. Now, for me, I'm really intrigued now, and I I'd love to come to your retreat and as a preventative measure. So, someone that, you know, I find myself generally very healthy now. I've done a lot of deep emotional uh healing, I've uh you know, incorporate a lot of meditation, breath work for myself, and and I I do get, you know, blood tests. I do recognize that blood tests, gut tests, the they might not catch everything, you know, but uh I generally I am healthy. How can stem cell can benefit me for preventative?

SPEAKER_01

So the example would be myself. I actually get stem cell treatment since I have access to it, and I've been doing it for the past six years, maybe about three times a year. I do intravenous infusion to myself for anti-aging purposes. I also use stem cells on my face for my skin, and also I intend to do some experiment about using stem cells with some other uh new, newly discovered protein called clotho that's very rich, uh concentrated in the hair follicle. I want to experiment that to see whether it can prevent gray hair from coming out. So I need that. So um just like I explained earlier, everybody's body is like a fireplace, and then you have this strength of the fire from your birth inherited from your parents. So everybody has different strengths from the beginning. But when everybody ages, of course, from age zero to uh around 20 to 32 years old, depending on whether you're a woman or a guy, that's also the theory already explained 6,000 years ago in Chinese medicine, medical classic. Um, then from zero to around 32 years old, your body is growing and your stem cells are actually uh regenerating faster than your body uh does damage. So, but then once everybody reaches around mid-30s, things start declining. But of course, initially you don't notice a lot of things because it's very slow decline. So the fire actually starts declining, and then how do you slow down this decline and also prevent the um symptoms or conditions that can be developed from this decline? So that's when the stem cell treatment comes in. So you don't have to wait until you already uh have Parkinson's or you already are diagnosed with uh autoimmune conditions to actually think about stem cells. But unfortunately, that's maybe 90% of the population, that's what they do. They only wait until the last minute, they already tried everything, even just for joint for knee. They waited until their doctors told them, oh, you have to do the knee replacement or hip replacement. Then they think, oh, maybe I should do something different. But if you could start early, even you haven't had a lot of pain in the knee, just a tiny bit. That's what I do to myself because I did have a ACL tear in my left knee and I never had any surgery, and I inject the stem cells into my knee myself about four years ago, uh, for three times during that one-year period of time, because I wanted to do the experiment to see how it can improve my knee stability without doing any surgical surgical interventions. And then after that, I only need to do it maybe once every three or four years because I just went to Iceland and I climbed the tallest uh waterfall in Iceland, no problem with my knee. So that proves you know, you don't really need to go through the surgical intervention most times to help even joint conditions. That's you know, that's very simple conditions. And also you can actually prevent your joint from deteriorating, um, getting to the point that you need the joint replacement.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, this is like the preventative, right? Right before, because I'm sure a lot of clients right now they come to you and they they they've tried everything, like you mentioned, and you're, oh, they've heard about stem cells, so they're gonna give it a try. But uh to you know, can you explain some that's people that come in to you that have maybe ALS or uh different things?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there are people who are already diagnosed with Parkinson's for several years, and then they wanted to improve their symptoms because they have been taking the Parkinson medication and they felt it's not really giving them a lot of improvement and it's still progressing. Or people with multiple sclerosis, same thing, they've been on medication, it's somewhat controlled, but then they still have this progression of the disease. And also a lot of people with joint condition, and a lot of times when they come to me, they already had multiple steroid injections. Uh, some of them already had multiple surgeries to repair the knee damage, like meniscus or tendon or something like that, or ACL. And then all these Western conventional medications or surgeries didn't give them enough relief. And then they were still experiencing a lot of pain, and the pain was getting worse, and then they didn't really have other solutions other than knee replacement, then that's when they think about stem cells. But my message to people is you really should start early. But unfortunately, most people haven't got to that point to realize how early, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, actually, ever since I moved to the stateside a long, long time ago, you know, I I would think 2006, I'm Canadian originally. Not that our healthcare system in Canada is any better, but I was definitely more uh preventative there, right? Because it's covered. So going regularly. So once I noticed moving the states, people only went where finally they're in a lot of pain instead of preventative. And I did notice that. So it's almost changing the mentality, doing these mental shifts. Start now what you do today, and how you want to live 10 years for now, 20 years. You know, if you uh a lot of my friends are dealing with taking care of their parents right now, early onset of Alzheimer's, which uh I'm in the dental industry and trying to shift the industry to biological dentistry. So uh it's a lot of it is the bacteria in the mouth and mouth brain connection. And so I I really am all about preventative to start now and shifting that mindset as a whole for especially in in the US here. Uh, and I feel I could talk to you for a really long time. There's so you're just so many information that you have. You have so a lot of books. I actually just bought all your books. And how can people find you if they want to come to your retreat or just work with you uh and learn more about stem cells?

SPEAKER_01

So they can go to stem cell therapy experts.com. And also they can go to the YouTube channel that, according to some of my patients, they said my YouTube channel has so much information. That's why they came to me, because they found my information is very informative and useful for them to make their own informed decision about whether they wanted to pursue stem cell treatment. And to mention our elderly parents, and a lot of us actually need to take care of our elderly parents, but for our elderly parents, if they, even though they're already in their 70s, 80s, and they have a lot of degenerative conditions, stem cells can still help them. So a good example is my mom, because my mom actually was the first one receiving stem cells from me because she had a lot of conditions and she was born with a lot of deficiencies, too. And she actually prevented from having amputation in her leg after she received the stem cell. So we did the treatment very in kind of early stage in the condition she has in her leg. So now her um the legs are fine and she could still be on her own, she could still walk even now, you know, even though not walking very swiftly or you know, like when she was 20 years ago, but she could still walk and she would now be bedridden. So that's very important, and that's very important for a lot of us to help improve the quality of life when our parents are reaching um advanced ages.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, that's it. The quality of life. I look at my grandfather who's 97 and dances the tango three, four times a week and walks and a full life. And I think you know, his mindset, uh having spirituality, you know, a belief that we were truly never alone is so important. Community and understanding uh, you know, our emotions and controlling them. So I would love to ask a final question. So uh okay, so what do you wish every person understood about their own ability to heal?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so that is a very good question because everybody has their own healing power within their own body. So we do not need to rely on so many external medications or surgeries to heal ourselves. One of my mentors, she actually had shoulder problems from a fall two years ago. And her doctor told her after reviewing her MRI, saying she the only choice for her was to go through shoulder surgery that would have eight months recovery time. But then she started consulting me, and then I gave her the advice on what to do, and also she went on the cruise and had 10 days of acupuncture treatment on the cruise ship. And after the cruise ship, she continued doing the recommendation I gave her. So now she's 97% of uh mobility in the shoulder that she injured, that the doctor told her to have shoulder surgery, and she had to have eight months recovery. And a lot of times those surgeries sometimes don't even fix your problem, and people would still have a lot of pain. So that's why you know people need to realize that their body can heal them themselves. You don't need to, so you as long as you do the right thing to create the right environment for the body to heal, and sometimes maybe you need to give the body a little bit push, a little bit uh boost, like I mentioned, the stem cells actually can give your body this boost energy from uh the baby from the umbilical cord, and also it's like a jump start. So then you still need to do a lot of other things combining together with the stem cell treatment to have the right environment for this healing regeneration to happen. But it doesn't mean everybody needs stem cell treatment. Stem cell treatment is more like another step up to give your body the boost. So there are a lot of things you can do that are even free that you can help your body heal, just like you said, doing a lot of meditation, internal reflection, breath work, and movement, stretching, and getting into the nature to breathe the air, to listen to the sound. So all these things can be free, it doesn't cost a lot of money. And if you want to uh go another step up, then You can start investigating doing red light, doing uh myofascia release, and doing uh even uh PEMF, um hyperbaric chamber, and a lot of supplements.

SPEAKER_00

I love the hyperbaric chamber. I love the hyperbaric chamber. I've seen huge results for myself, my kids. And what about what's your your point of view with peptides? Because I do feel like that's that little boost sometimes that our cells may need as they're signaling the cells. Like, what's your your thoughts?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, some some some peptides, actually, some peptides are naturally occurring in our body, and some peptides sold on the market are more like the uh mimic, they mimic the natural peptide in in our body. So, but again, peptide is something like stem cell, it's in the gray area because it's not FDA approved, and uh because of that, sometimes you actually also have a black market for these things, so you have to really understand where the source and then what you're using it for because some people are using it for tanning. Uh, I think that's really very risky, but if you use like BPC157 or TP500 to help your body heal after uh exercises or after injury, that actually can work really, really well. And that oh that is also like a boost to your body.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, a boost I've I found I've uh epitalon, you know, that helps with the telomeres. And I've really liked that uh peptide myself and noticed that my it kind of recalibrated my circadian rhythm. And that's kind of what I tell people is that they're like little boosts for us to survive in this environment. You know, we've I feel we've moved too far away for what you know God, uh the divine has created for us on earth. Uh, we've made our our environment very toxic, unfortunately. And so I do feel like these tools are uh giving us the ability to survive in these environments that we live in right now and to be mindful to maybe make space for more time in nature, like going to your retreat in Colombia. I find that that's um for me to go time in nature and get away. I do that often with my kids, and I really need it, and my body craves it. So it's like you said, it's free just to go go find a place in nature and to sit under a tree. And that's like the biggest medicine.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, or do a 10-minute walk every day in the woods or along a river near your house. All these things can help, or like you can just stand outside on the balcony of your house every morning to look at the sunrise or look at the cloud. That's also free. And also in the morning, early in the morning, and in the evening, there are more um red wavelengths light from the sky, uh, higher proportion of red light. So then that's you get free red light exposure too.

SPEAKER_00

So I actually do that every morning. That's why I love the sunrise, and I go sit outside, and uh that's where I do my meditation, my prayer, and it's at the sunrise, and it's just provides me with so much uh grounding and presence and for the day. And so I love that you mentioned that. Well, I feel like we'll need like a part two because we only tipped so much of your knowledge that you have. So hopefully I could have you back on for part two and dive more into you know what you've you've seen with your own health journey, your family, your clients. And actually, I'm gonna come to your retreat. I would love to do that. I love to have you here.

SPEAKER_01

And then you can actually come here, we can do in-person podcasts because right now, where I am doing this with you is a new podcast studio I just built on my property.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, I love it. Let's do it. Yes, I'm gonna schedule it fine a time and I'm coming. So thank you so much. So, for anyone listening, this is me uh, you know, giving you this information because you may not be getting this from your general doctors on a daily basis, and you may be preying on what you need next. What's that boost for your immune system, preventative health? Uh, I think this is important as for to know as we live in a very toxic environment, and what's going to help us live with vitality is so important. And you don't have to do the search alone. I'm here with you making these research, having the best top expert in these fields. So thank you so much, Dr. Yi Sung. And I will share all your information in the show notes so that people can start listening to all your wealth of wisdom. So thank you.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you so much. And I'm looking forward to having you here doing in person podcasts.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I can't wait. Thank you so much. Have a wonderful day.
