00:00:00.040 --> 00:00:03.630
Hi friends and welcome to Not Alone with Melissa Sue Methvin.

00:00:03.630 --> 00:00:08.231
Today's episode is deeply personal and incredibly special to me.

00:00:08.231 --> 00:00:12.069
When I lost my husband, I didn't know how to breathe.

00:00:12.069 --> 00:00:15.505
Literally my body was in survival mode.

00:00:15.505 --> 00:00:23.192
I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat and my heart hurt so much I honestly thought I was going to have a heart attack.

00:00:23.192 --> 00:00:38.664
In my very first counseling session after his passing, my therapist led me through a 10-minute breathwork practice over Zoom, and when I opened my eyes I remember telling him I felt God.

00:00:38.664 --> 00:00:47.088
Everything in me softened, my heart slowed down, my nervous system found a moment of peace.

00:00:47.088 --> 00:00:51.445
That was the moment breathwork entered my life.

00:00:52.627 --> 00:01:04.450
I began seeking it out any way I could On YouTube, on podcasts, and when I moved to Arizona I found Reconnect MindBody in Mesa.

00:01:04.450 --> 00:01:08.555
That's where I met today's guest, jeremy Muttet.

00:01:08.555 --> 00:01:13.347
His breathwork classes were unlike anything I'd ever experienced.

00:01:13.347 --> 00:01:16.914
I cried, I released deep pain.

00:01:16.914 --> 00:01:20.064
I felt messages from Scott.

00:01:20.064 --> 00:01:23.632
It felt like miracles were happening on the mat.

00:01:23.632 --> 00:01:25.659
It felt like miracles were happening on the mat.

00:01:25.659 --> 00:01:29.329
That's the power of breath and the power of Jeremy's gifts.

00:01:29.329 --> 00:01:43.069
Since then I've trained in Austin, texas, with Somatic IQ, alongside survivors, healers, world changers, but Jeremy's work always called me back home.

00:01:43.069 --> 00:01:51.927
He created Resurrect Breathwork, a method that helps people release what's held in the body without having to relive it.

00:01:51.927 --> 00:01:58.331
Jeremy has become not just a mentor to me, but a dear friend.

00:01:58.331 --> 00:02:14.290
He's a global breathwork educator, human biomechanics specialist, singer, breakdancer and the founder of Reconnect MindBody, with locations in Mesa and soon to be, scottsdale, arizona.

00:02:14.290 --> 00:02:22.051
But more than that, he carries the kind of safe, grounded masculine energy this world needs more of.

00:02:22.051 --> 00:02:35.800
So today you're going to hear about his healing journey, what breathwork really does for the body and spirit, and how we can reconnect to the part of us that already knows how to heal.

00:02:35.800 --> 00:02:38.462
Let's breathe into it.

00:02:38.462 --> 00:02:59.152
So welcome.

00:02:59.173 --> 00:03:16.021
I I truly had to read this because I just this is how I felt with my journey and I don't know if I I know if I expressed that to you, but to just have it in writing and how impactful you have been in my healing journey.

00:03:16.021 --> 00:03:32.509
And I just, I just had to let you know that, from the very beginning, when I had my first breathwork session and I honestly still remember, you know, it was over Zoom, and here I am in fight and flight mode.

00:03:32.509 --> 00:03:50.812
I can't eat, I can't sleep, I'm seriously having sharp pains in my heart and it was the hospital it was actually the organ donor specialist in the Maui Hospital found me someone on Honolulu and he said he can get, he can connect with you the next day.

00:03:50.812 --> 00:04:04.350
And I remember sitting in our little condo and meeting with him and I'm just you know, frantic, telling him a little bit my story and he probably was like, okay, she needs, you know, she needs to breathe.

00:04:04.350 --> 00:04:10.106
And he's like, very calmly, says I'm going to guide you through a breath work session.

00:04:10.106 --> 00:04:12.451
I'm like, okay, that sounds great.

00:04:14.341 --> 00:04:19.706
And I still remember just in how powerful that 10 minutes was.

00:04:19.706 --> 00:04:20.447
I was so in awe and amazed.

00:04:20.447 --> 00:04:27.692
I was so in awe and amazed I opened my eyes and looked at him like, wow, I felt God.

00:04:27.692 --> 00:04:31.137
And it was this immense peace that covered over me.

00:04:31.137 --> 00:04:34.122
You know, it was this calm.

00:04:34.141 --> 00:04:52.324
My heart had stopped from just you know, palpating so fast and I was like, well, I'm going to need to do more of that to actually survive this, because I know, you know, I've always been into health and I know if I stayed in that state for a long period of time, I'm not going to be around.

00:04:52.324 --> 00:04:58.670
Also for my children, and I knew the immense pain that they were going through losing their dad.

00:04:58.670 --> 00:05:01.946
I said I can't, I can't believe either.

00:05:01.946 --> 00:05:04.345
So I got to do everything in my power.

00:05:04.345 --> 00:05:09.187
So that's where breath work came into my life and I continued.

00:05:09.226 --> 00:05:13.762
You know, when I was living in Wasilla, I remember going to a court.

00:05:14.124 --> 00:05:30.091
Like I had so many court appointments, you know, for the lawsuits and all the stuff, and I remember I've been so nervous to be in front of the judges and I would do breath work going there in my car, and so that's where it got introduced.

00:05:30.091 --> 00:05:38.427
And when I moved to Arizona and there's no random you know here I am thinking I went to see Holmes.

00:05:38.427 --> 00:05:44.012
I'm trying to look for schools and I'm like, look on my old MindBody app I'm like, oh, I'm going to go for a workout.

00:05:44.012 --> 00:05:45.560
I really need a workout right now.

00:05:45.560 --> 00:06:00.444
But instead of seeing a workout, what catches my eye is a place called reconnect mind, body and I'm like that I was close at because I was staying at a hotel I don't know nearby and I was like, huh, what is this?

00:06:00.444 --> 00:06:21.935
I'm, I feel like I need this and I go to your place, reconnect my body, and I felt like, oh, I'm home, like this will be a place of a continue to come when I move here and, and I remember, actually, you walked in that day.

00:06:21.935 --> 00:06:22.898
I was there.

00:06:23.358 --> 00:06:25.567
Yeah, I remember you walked in.

00:06:25.567 --> 00:06:30.466
There was another gal working there she no longer works there, but it was so healing.

00:06:30.466 --> 00:06:31.148
She held me.

00:06:31.148 --> 00:06:46.564
I remember going in the water in a cold plunge because you have cold plunge, red light sauna, the compressions and I remember getting out of that water and tears just flowing and she just held me and hugged me and she didn't know my story.

00:06:46.564 --> 00:06:47.629
She didn't know anything.

00:06:47.629 --> 00:06:54.009
But that's my first introduction to you and ever since then I was coming.

00:06:54.009 --> 00:06:56.362
I think sometimes I came five Once I moved here.

00:06:56.362 --> 00:06:57.286
I so needed it.

00:06:57.286 --> 00:07:04.985
You know I still do, but I was coming five times a week Amazing and really needed it.

00:07:04.985 --> 00:07:10.107
And I remember meeting you and hearing a little bit of your story and starting to come to your breath work.

00:07:10.107 --> 00:07:15.944
But I'd love to just for people to get to know you if they don't already know you.

00:07:15.944 --> 00:07:25.408
But just from the beginning you know your story and how you even came to want to open up, reconnect and Breathwork.

00:07:25.408 --> 00:07:27.807
So I'm giving you the floor now.

00:07:28.920 --> 00:07:30.004
Well for one.

00:07:30.004 --> 00:07:32.281
Thank you for sharing all that you just did Like.

00:07:32.281 --> 00:07:45.947
To hear it in such a way really hits home into my heart, because that's why this whole thing started, you know, was to be a safe haven for anyone who needed it Me, I didn't want to open Reconnect.

00:07:45.947 --> 00:07:49.168
That was not something I was not in the cards that I wanted to have.

00:07:49.168 --> 00:08:07.504
I was in the middle of leaving a partnership by owning a gym and I was done doing the brick-and-mortar thing and I just wanted to focus realistically on my training company and I had people coming over to my house to do ice baths because I discovered it and I'll get into that in a bit here.

00:08:07.504 --> 00:08:13.610
You know, like when I discovered it and when I discovered the breath and I just felt like I had to give it to my clients, you know, and you guys got experiences.

00:08:13.610 --> 00:08:15.005
You guys are changing my life, you know.

00:08:16.620 --> 00:08:21.132
So it all started when it was one week before the lockdowns happened.

00:08:21.132 --> 00:08:50.121
So for me, I was already bringing people to my house and I was introducing them to the ice bath and breath work and I was walking through it and I just loved watching the transformations happen because you would see someone scared, terrified, anxious a million thoughts running through their head and they go through the water and they would face all those things in the present moment and just wash it away and only be able to connect to their breath Right, and once they go through the the process, even if it was one minute or five minutes, they would come out and every single person would just be the biggest smile on their face.

00:08:50.121 --> 00:08:54.962
Just like I can't believe I just did that, you know, because my tub is in my backyard, but it was the.

00:08:54.962 --> 00:08:58.331
It was the first moroseco forge ever sold and it was to me and so they.

00:08:58.711 --> 00:09:00.123
It worked really well it was.

00:09:00.123 --> 00:09:08.298
It was a little more hardcore, gunji, you know, in comparison to the nice ones that we have now, but it still produced ice up to like six inches from the bottom up.

00:09:08.298 --> 00:09:11.285
Oh, wow, like it would be a huge platform you have to sit on of all ice.

00:09:11.365 --> 00:09:11.888
Oh my gosh.

00:09:11.988 --> 00:09:21.288
Yeah, so it was cold, it was very cold in there and everyone did a wonderful job and they all had such powerful experiences, and so to me I wasn't really looking to open a center that offered that.

00:09:21.288 --> 00:09:33.361
And that Monday, like the week before the lockdowns happened, they announced state of emergency.

00:09:33.361 --> 00:09:34.825
That Monday I laid down for my usual 1 pm cat nap.

00:09:34.825 --> 00:09:40.081
15 minute cat nap not as often these days, because I don't have as much time, but that was my time slot was like 1 pm.

00:09:40.121 --> 00:09:43.792
My brain to just start getting tired, so I'm like I need to just close my eyes, reset.

00:09:43.792 --> 00:09:45.043
And a vision came through.

00:09:45.043 --> 00:09:45.568
The vision of reconnect came through all of tired.

00:09:45.568 --> 00:09:45.745
So I'm like I need to just close my eyes, reset.

00:09:45.745 --> 00:09:46.044
And a vision came through.

00:09:46.044 --> 00:09:50.245
The vision of reconnect came through All of it, like I walked through the building.

00:09:50.245 --> 00:09:56.808
It's very much what you see at Mesa was almost identical to the vision and I tried to build it off of what I got in the vision.

00:09:57.620 --> 00:10:02.432
And so I walk in there and there's people doing ice baths and you know doing Wim Hof's horse stance, you know doing Wim Hof's horse dance, you know.

00:10:02.432 --> 00:10:11.469
And I get to the end of the building and I turn around and there's a girl at the front desk just waving at me and I'm just like and I look down at my shirt and it says Reconnect Mind, body with like this crazy logo.

00:10:11.469 --> 00:10:15.812
And as soon as I looked up it was like the people will need healing.

00:10:15.812 --> 00:10:17.120
Those are the only words that came through.

00:10:17.120 --> 00:10:23.467
And then I woke up and so I just wrote the words that people need healing and reconnect my body, this ice bath, cold punch.

00:10:23.467 --> 00:10:25.389
But I was like what the heck?

00:10:25.389 --> 00:10:27.793
And so I ran out to the kitchen, tell my girlfriend.

00:10:27.793 --> 00:10:28.994
I'm like, look, I signed the paper.

00:10:28.994 --> 00:10:31.157
Look, we just came through in this nap.

00:10:31.157 --> 00:10:33.602
She's like what does this mean?

00:10:33.602 --> 00:10:34.605
I was like I don't know.

00:10:34.605 --> 00:10:36.128
But I think this is.

00:10:36.128 --> 00:10:38.592
I think I just got told what I'm supposed to do next.

00:10:38.592 --> 00:10:48.530
And it's kind, you know, your prayers are answered in naps.

00:10:48.530 --> 00:10:53.264
That's good, that's good advice there.

00:10:53.283 --> 00:10:57.008
So that day I just kind of put it off to the side and I said, okay, I'm just going to come back to this.

00:10:57.008 --> 00:11:01.133
I got to go to work these things the next morning, 6 am my first client.

00:11:01.133 --> 00:11:03.355
I'm in the middle of training her.

00:11:03.355 --> 00:11:11.384
She goes you need to open a healing center.

00:11:11.384 --> 00:11:15.663
And I said I was like Angie, why would you say that?

00:11:15.663 --> 00:11:17.126
And she goes, I don't know.

00:11:17.126 --> 00:11:22.442
I just woke up this morning Like I had to tell you that and I was just like what?

00:11:22.442 --> 00:11:23.537
She goes, yeah, you know.

00:11:23.537 --> 00:11:25.464
You like you bring people to your house and do the ice bath thing.

00:11:25.464 --> 00:11:31.139
You need to open a place where people can come there and you walk them through that and I'm like, I was like just goosebumps everywhere.

00:11:31.139 --> 00:11:33.441
And I go, angie, I got to tell you about a vision that just came through yesterday.

00:11:33.441 --> 00:11:36.663
So I tell her about the vision and she goes well, you got to do it.

00:11:36.663 --> 00:11:40.046
Then this is clearly God just telling you.

00:11:40.046 --> 00:11:41.287
This is what is needed to happen.

00:11:41.287 --> 00:11:47.951
And so, anyway, that Friday the world gets shut down, and it was like holy moly.

00:11:47.951 --> 00:11:49.432
Now everything starts to make sense.

00:11:49.432 --> 00:12:00.106
The people will need healing, because that means something is about to happen or to come, and it's going to be something of an aftermath, something that can be provided for people after this timeframe happens.

00:12:00.707 --> 00:12:08.096
And then it finally clicked, like as soon as everything got shut down I hate to say it I got excited because I was like now it's time to build something incredible.

00:12:08.096 --> 00:12:11.283
And everyone was freaked out and I was the opposite.

00:12:11.283 --> 00:12:17.004
I was driven, I was focused on like God gave me a mission and I do everything in my power to make it happen.

00:12:17.004 --> 00:12:22.222
And so I just started the building process, trying to contact companies, like how does this look?

00:12:22.222 --> 00:12:24.322
You know, funding wise, how can it work?

00:12:24.322 --> 00:12:26.623
Like all these things I started to put into play.

00:12:26.623 --> 00:12:31.976
At the same time, my girlfriend just opened up a gym and so that had to be shut down.

00:12:31.976 --> 00:12:37.984
So he moved everything into our garage, but I was still building and I contacted the broker and I said, hey, I'm going to open a healing center this time.

00:12:37.984 --> 00:12:41.388
And he said are you sure, man, he's like?

00:12:41.388 --> 00:12:42.929
This is like unprecedented times.

00:12:42.929 --> 00:12:44.010
Yeah, maybe the wrong timing.

00:12:48.456 --> 00:12:50.760
I'm not saying you know you can't do what you want to do.

00:12:50.760 --> 00:12:51.962
I was like it's it's.

00:12:51.962 --> 00:12:56.730
And that's the lesson in all this, I truly believe, is that it's our willingness that allows him to work through you.

00:12:57.014 --> 00:12:59.601
Do you find that because I see that in my own life.

00:12:59.601 --> 00:13:07.206
Do you find when it because it was the God's plan that doors just kept opening and allow it flowed really well.

00:13:07.407 --> 00:13:07.868
Absolutely.

00:13:07.947 --> 00:13:08.515
Didn't it Like?

00:13:08.515 --> 00:13:10.984
Would they seem kind of effortless to open it?

00:13:10.984 --> 00:13:14.977
Not seem kind of effortless to open it?

00:13:14.977 --> 00:13:15.480
Not effortless?

00:13:15.480 --> 00:13:19.351
Maybe wrong choice of word, but every time you opened up a door there was something that opened in that right direction.

00:13:19.373 --> 00:13:32.384
Yeah, like, yeah, basically, and it it was more along the lines of the doors were opening inside of myself, because when I, when I went to open up a gym, that it was all driven by the Lord anyway, like it was.

00:13:33.206 --> 00:13:40.375
I was a personal trainer in a gym for eight years you know multiple gyms and and I never thought I would see myself as a business owner.

00:13:40.416 --> 00:13:49.726
Yet I always felt the need to be an entrepreneur, like, like that always made sense to me, um, and and even when it came to opening the gym, it was all guided through him.

00:13:49.726 --> 00:13:57.267
So when these messages started to come through, um, I knew that it was like, yeah, this has to happen, right, so me taking action.

00:13:57.267 --> 00:14:04.499
In that it was more like I was opening up more doors inside of myself to rediscover who I really was, and like this is who I am, like, this is the person.

00:14:04.499 --> 00:14:14.303
I'm the person who goes and takes action, that listens, and, and I bring people together and I try and, uh, rally them up and inspire them and get them to open up their hearts and minds.

00:14:14.303 --> 00:14:30.738
And like, because that's what I always wanted in my life, and so I just started to activate on it and give that to other people you know, so that the doors, with me doing that opening up started to, I think, um increase my vibration, which in turn a lot for more doors to open outside of that Does that make sense?

00:14:30.778 --> 00:14:35.245
Yes, absolutely, and that's where I think more people started to come in and started to take notice.

00:14:35.245 --> 00:14:37.048
But I will say it was not easy.

00:14:37.048 --> 00:14:42.999
It was not easy trying to start reconnect when everyone is still wearing masks and you only could have so many people in a building.

00:14:42.999 --> 00:14:43.863
It was.

00:14:43.863 --> 00:14:51.866
It was a rough time because I uh I had to convince people like hey, for one, this is safe and number two, if you don't want to get sick, get in here.

00:14:51.947 --> 00:14:53.727
Yeah this is safe and number two if you don't want to get sick, get in here.

00:14:53.727 --> 00:14:55.048
And so that was my marketing material and it worked.

00:14:55.048 --> 00:15:12.602
I mean, I had people coming in there like I was giving tours and I had nothing done and I was taking payment through PayPal and I was working 18 hour days building it, while still training a full schedule with all of my clients, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, just to try and build this thing, Cause I knew that this sacrifice and suffering with purpose is going to be worth it in the end.

00:15:13.784 --> 00:15:15.106
Wow, that's incredible.

00:15:15.106 --> 00:15:16.889
I didn't know, the depth of that story.

00:15:16.889 --> 00:15:18.169
But I love it.

00:15:18.410 --> 00:15:18.691
Thank you.

00:15:18.955 --> 00:15:29.422
I knew it was a calling and you had a vision, but to know how it came through, I mean it's so because people did need it, you know, and you've healed so much, I know.

00:15:29.422 --> 00:15:32.527
For me it was so easy to share as well because it was so healing.

00:15:32.547 --> 00:15:57.416
I was like you got to go there and I got to go there, and I don't know how many friends have gone there as well and understood what I was talking about as well, and it's not just because you can have all this stuff at home, but I think what's different with you is I call them my angels, all your staff, you yourself, the guidance angels.

00:15:57.416 --> 00:15:58.820
You know all your staff, you yourself the guidance.

00:15:58.820 --> 00:16:00.785
You know the what they whisper in your, you know in your ears while you're in a bath.

00:16:00.785 --> 00:16:02.633
I mean they get my own children in there.

00:16:02.633 --> 00:16:06.722
I mean Sophia, she's a water girl, she's from Alaska, she, they.

00:16:06.722 --> 00:16:12.501
I would take them to glacier fed lakes, so you know that's amazing, they're pretty used to cold, but Mateus never liked the cold.

00:16:12.522 --> 00:16:27.934
But how you know, lauren, she can guide with Mateus and you guys have these little foam turtles to get them to blow, to learn how to breathe and blow, you know, slowly, and it's been really healing for my kids.

00:16:27.934 --> 00:16:37.542
Whenever I noticed that anger would kind of creep in with the grief, I was like, oh, we need to go to the water.

00:16:37.562 --> 00:16:38.905
We need to go to Reconnect.

00:16:40.298 --> 00:16:41.562
I pulled my daughter out of school.

00:16:41.562 --> 00:16:44.625
She was just really I think it was almost four days.

00:16:44.625 --> 00:16:54.668
Her mental health was not where it needed to be and that was better for me to take her out and really connect with her and see what she needed.

00:16:54.668 --> 00:16:59.769
And actually we went in to reconnect every single day and she needed that water so much.

00:16:59.948 --> 00:17:12.217
So I also appreciate that you allow children there, you know, because you know I teach them you gotta be obviously respectful, a little bit more quiet, but you know we try and go times are where it's not as busy as well, you know.

00:17:12.217 --> 00:17:17.420
So they, they can still, you know they understand the concept and they really like it.

00:17:17.420 --> 00:17:19.105
So I think that's the difference.

00:17:19.105 --> 00:17:23.563
I mean, I now have a sauna home and red light, but it's not the same.

00:17:23.563 --> 00:17:29.086
I still go to your facility just to kind of get away from it all, take a good hour and get away.

00:17:29.086 --> 00:17:34.243
I still, you know, love your breathwork classes because I needed all that myself, you know.

00:17:34.243 --> 00:17:42.038
You know I breath work facilitator now and I could do these things, but I don't sit there and do my breath work for an hour, you know.

00:17:42.519 --> 00:17:45.950
So I need you, it's true it's kind of hard right, right it is hard.

00:17:46.009 --> 00:17:54.428
So I I just really appreciate that you do allow children there, because I think there's not enough facilities for healing for kids.

00:17:54.428 --> 00:18:22.942
That's where I've realized with my own journey is that as I was trying to find them, therapists and healing modalities, there was a lot more for me, not so much for them, you know, and so I really really like that and I'd love for people to know, kind of you know how you got in, because I know a little bit of your story, you know when you were younger and dealing with some anxieties, and I'd love for you to share that sure, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's.

00:18:23.584 --> 00:18:25.674
That's kind of like the the origin of it all.

00:18:25.674 --> 00:18:29.746
You know, like why these things are important to me and and why we even allow kids.

00:18:29.746 --> 00:18:44.249
You know it's because when you've, when you've been there, you know and you've dealt with anxiety and you we'll put it like this when you weren't taught the skills on how to manage your emotions, right, it's uh, and most of us don't have those skills.

00:18:44.249 --> 00:19:02.605
Like it takes outsourcing right, or having a great mentor, or that one parent that just really has got it dialed in and they know how to teach it right, like what you're doing with your kids, like you're teaching them how to feel the best, because then it sets them free from the emotions overriding their mind, where they only are reactive.

00:19:02.605 --> 00:19:06.788
You want them to be able to sit, be present and have that presence in life.

00:19:06.788 --> 00:19:13.444
So there's not all these 47 triggers, right, they can go, hmm.

00:19:13.444 --> 00:19:15.455
Why do I feel like?

00:19:15.455 --> 00:19:15.998
What is this person trying?

00:19:16.018 --> 00:19:16.378
to show awareness?

00:19:16.400 --> 00:19:17.944
yeah, exactly that's kind of what.

00:19:17.944 --> 00:19:23.461
And actually I'm like, okay, we are, we're all working on our inner 40s in it, in our inner child.

00:19:23.461 --> 00:19:35.717
You know, I'm like why don't I work with my kids they are in those ages of inner child and give them those tools and processing those traumas or emotions now you know, and they can carry on with those emotions?

00:19:35.717 --> 00:19:46.616
I keep thinking we need a school that's incorporates that to you know, kindergarten and on, and teaching the kids um, yeah, emotional intelligence, and giving them those tools.

00:19:47.077 --> 00:19:47.700
Yeah, it's huge.

00:19:47.700 --> 00:19:54.305
It's huge, you know, and that's I feel, like that's what like me my life growing up I had a great life overall.

00:19:54.305 --> 00:20:11.866
I look back and even the terrible things that happened to me I am so grateful for, because all those things turned me into the man I am today, because I took the pain of that and I turned it into something positive, every action I took outside of that, once I realized that I could change who I was.

00:20:11.866 --> 00:20:15.826
I didn't have to be a victim, I could be the hero of my own story.

00:20:16.528 --> 00:20:30.785
That was when I started to see the world differently and I started to be like, hey, I can become captain America, like I literally can become, that I can get as big as possible, athletic as possible, and I can um, I can stand for what's right, you know, I can stand for something.

00:20:30.785 --> 00:20:41.760
And that's where, like I, I hope that one day my story inspires other people to do the same thing, because you don't have to be stuck with your circumstances and and realize that your trauma is not who you are.

00:20:41.760 --> 00:21:05.236
It can actually be turned into a superpower, you know, and that's that's where, like, what has what's been driving this whole movement of reconnect is all the things I went through and how I lived, with anxiety buried in my body all the time and I was sick all the time and uh, and I never knew how to deal with it because I was never taught how to feel so when you say you live with like anxiety, can you describe us like what was happening for?

00:21:05.276 --> 00:21:05.979
you like what was?

00:21:05.979 --> 00:21:15.217
It limiting you to do imagine, like a vice grip on your gut and you can never take a full breath and every time that you were pushed to your edge you feel like you were going to crumble.

00:21:15.217 --> 00:21:38.713
So every time that you wanted to speak like I'm speaking now, my voice would be cracking left and right and it'd be very much softer, like I have a deep baritone voice this didn't unlock until I started to work on this stuff until I was 37 now, so it probably unlocked almost when I was 31, 32.

00:21:39.054 --> 00:21:48.723
Okay, wow, yeah, my voice sounded different and I was a musician for a while there too, and I had to force myself to get to this and my producer was always trying to activate that in me.

00:21:48.723 --> 00:22:09.407
Like it's there, I can hear, but you're not operating in that space and it's because that trauma was trapped in there, like my breath was trapped in my trauma, and that's and that's where I think the importance of me diving so much into breath, work and have it being a part of reconnect and teaching people all these things about feeling emotions, how to go inside.

00:22:09.407 --> 00:22:15.508
It's all about internal growth, because it increases awareness which allows us to serve others around us, because we are becoming the light.

00:22:15.508 --> 00:22:20.240
When that happens, then everything starts to enhance right, like around everyone.

00:22:20.240 --> 00:22:40.198
We all start to elevate our vibration, we get out of victimization and go into curiosity and and that's where I like my whole life of living with all that tension in my body and causing all this excess pain and never really speaking my, my truth or my any like my opinion and stuff.

00:22:40.218 --> 00:22:44.796
I was always like oh so I was a class clown in school because I got bullied a lot and and, and you know my dad is a Marine, he was a tough guy, you know.

00:22:44.796 --> 00:22:47.124
So when we got in trouble he would line us up hands behind the back.

00:22:47.124 --> 00:22:56.943
Can't break eye contact, you know, is is.

00:22:56.943 --> 00:22:57.232
That's just pretty much how it was.

00:22:57.232 --> 00:22:58.038
Boys, don't cry Like that's the kind of thing, and don't get me wrong there.

00:22:57.948 --> 00:23:01.886
I learned some great stuff from that kind of stuff, like I think it is what allowed me to be successful in bodybuilding and I competed because I learned those militant things early.

00:23:01.886 --> 00:23:04.088
So when I had to turn it on, I could turn it on.

00:23:04.088 --> 00:23:16.431
But when it gets pushed too far and that's when we look at the moderation rule on these things to where if you push too far, then you become numb to all emotion and then I miss out on the one of the most important things in life and that's human connection.

00:23:16.431 --> 00:23:25.058
And that's where I think my anxiety and the fear that over ran my mind for so much of my life is because I was missing connection.

00:23:25.058 --> 00:23:31.097
Right, and it's kind of funny that reconnect is called reconnect and that wasn't intended, obviously.

00:23:31.117 --> 00:23:38.161
That was that was God gave me that name, you know, and uh, so that I think that's really cool because that is something that I, I think I was always searching for.

00:23:38.161 --> 00:23:50.459
Um, and I had a lot of great friends and a lot of great friends and my family, uh, you know, divorced early on, when I was four years old, but we all have stayed together, you know, like every family trip, it was still mom and dad.

00:23:50.459 --> 00:23:52.162
They just became great co-parents, you know.

00:23:52.162 --> 00:23:58.590
But, with that being said, I didn't really have the tools and things to manage my anxiety or my fear.

00:23:58.590 --> 00:24:01.663
It was more like I would do things that I would try and pull myself out of.

00:24:01.663 --> 00:24:04.119
So that's why I got into dance, right, and I became.

00:24:04.621 --> 00:24:13.743
I was already kind of dancing my whole life, but I really got into competing and battling because there was something inside me that I need to find a way to move this, this stuff that's within me.

00:24:13.743 --> 00:24:18.170
I didn't know what it was at first and it was just energy that was stuck right.

00:24:18.170 --> 00:24:27.997
It was all of this suppression which you're very familiar with, you know, that I was doing to myself, that was causing all this tension in my gut all the time, which would give me the worst stomach pains ever, like we're talking.

00:24:27.997 --> 00:24:33.848
I had the most perfect diet because for one, I was a personal trainer and a professional bodybuilder.

00:24:33.848 --> 00:24:37.582
All I did was focus on fitness and uh and food.

00:24:37.582 --> 00:24:39.045
That's pretty much it.

00:24:39.546 --> 00:24:40.588
But I was so.

00:24:40.588 --> 00:24:45.375
I was lacking emotional intelligence like at a grand degree where I had no idea how to manage my own.

00:24:45.375 --> 00:24:58.175
So I was really good at suppressing everything, and everyone would would be like man, cause I used to be like I was 20 pounds bigger than I am now and people would always, you know, look at me like, oh man, he's like such a gentle giant, you know those kind of things.

00:24:58.175 --> 00:25:05.823
And then if I got drunk because I was a heavy drinker back then too um, then if I got pushed to the edge, then I would literally rip doors off the hinges.

00:25:05.823 --> 00:25:10.037
I did that twice and I and it's just one of those things of like then the hulk came out.

00:25:10.037 --> 00:25:15.522
That means that I had no control and that's pretty scary, you know, because you should never really get to that point.

00:25:15.643 --> 00:25:18.165
No, but, like you said, the suppression right.

00:25:18.226 --> 00:25:18.865
The suppression.

00:25:19.046 --> 00:25:24.511
Because then I always tell my kids yeah, it's like let's not get to where the volcano right, exactly yeah.

00:25:28.015 --> 00:25:32.119
And you've got to titrate those emotions and let them out so it doesn't become a big, you know, volcano and express and I love that you mentioned.

00:25:32.119 --> 00:25:39.930
Also, even though you were a trainer and eating really well, it hit your gut because that's what I went through.

00:25:39.930 --> 00:25:45.202
I was always, you know, my oh, melissa needs everything organic and this and that.

00:25:45.202 --> 00:25:51.201
And you know I've I've always, you know, worked out, done really well, but that's where it got me first.

00:25:51.382 --> 00:26:04.742
I started having acid reflux where, to the point where I can only eat, like drink, bone broth and crackers, like it got really bad and I went, started seeing ENTs in Wasilla and they're like, oh, you have GERD.

00:26:04.742 --> 00:26:05.223
I'm like what?

00:26:05.223 --> 00:26:07.214
I'm like, how do I have GERD?

00:26:07.214 --> 00:26:09.077
I eat so well, I eat this.

00:26:09.077 --> 00:26:15.548
So that's, it was a big red flag for me for all the suppression where it hit my gut first.

00:26:15.548 --> 00:26:38.507
That's where it started and even though you could do everything right on the outside you know you mentioned reconnect you had to start with self-awareness right, and I think that's the goal for all of us to just become self-aware that that then we rise our energy, our frequencies and it has that ripple effect.

00:26:38.507 --> 00:26:48.904
You know, and that's really what I've been working on my children, as well as noticing, when we had actually last year, last summer, a challenge at reconnect where we'll do, we'll do seven days going there because it was so hot.

00:26:49.005 --> 00:26:58.644
Anyways, we're like let's go, let's not leave, let's take in the building everyone like it's 120, let's go cold, plunging every single day, and I said let's journal.

00:26:58.644 --> 00:27:00.127
I actually took videos of them.

00:27:00.127 --> 00:27:10.913
Instead of like writing journaling, I said let's just record how we feel every single day and they more calm, more peace, more like, and actually there was times where they just needed a nap.

00:27:10.913 --> 00:27:12.016
Their bodies were tired.

00:27:12.016 --> 00:27:13.499
You know, and just listen to that.

00:27:13.499 --> 00:27:18.769
You know sometimes they they don't want to miss anything, it's go, go, go and and taking those naps.

00:27:18.769 --> 00:27:19.857
That's important.

00:27:19.857 --> 00:27:20.921
You know.

00:27:20.921 --> 00:27:25.413
Look how much we get from our sleep, these visions, these.

00:27:25.413 --> 00:27:31.046
You know, even for me writing my book, like it's important to have that sleep and pray beforehand.

00:27:31.046 --> 00:27:36.057
So then I do hear clearly what the words need to be in that book, right?

00:27:36.057 --> 00:27:36.897
So I love that.

00:27:36.897 --> 00:27:45.724
You say you needed to re, kind of reconnect to yourself first, to your heart, and really listen, you know, and be guided along the way.

00:27:45.724 --> 00:27:51.417
I just, um, yeah, you've been such a mentor and I love that you.

00:27:51.478 --> 00:27:56.586
Finally, I remember always asking him when are you going to start teaching when because I really want to learn.

00:27:56.586 --> 00:28:01.259
You know your style of breath, work, because your classes are always so different.

00:28:01.259 --> 00:28:07.356
You know, and the, the music and the drum, and just your voice and what you say.

00:28:07.356 --> 00:28:18.578
It always hits me and brings me back home and, uh, so I'm so honored that I was able to, you know, join, resurrect, breath and learn from, from you.

00:28:18.578 --> 00:28:40.968
You know, and now I can pass on that gift as well and, like you, for me to be able to give that gift and see gosh, I just did one at a dental office a couple weeks ago and to see how it opens up the layers, these armors on their heart that they haven't seen in forever, and the release and the self-awareness that comes afterwards.

00:28:41.008 --> 00:28:47.356
You know, when we share the circle after, it just amazes me every time it wants to keep going and keep doing that like.

00:28:47.356 --> 00:28:56.057
That's such a passion for me too, because I see, uh, the healing properties you know that it has for people and the ripple effect to their families too.

00:28:56.057 --> 00:29:02.835
You know, especially, you know, I for me, the dental industry, I feel that's so needed.

00:29:02.835 --> 00:29:10.063
You know, the breath to release those emotions that they take on, that fear every day.

00:29:10.063 --> 00:29:21.240
You know they see 40 patients a day, but I, um, I'd love to you know I've seen you do such wonderful events like your last one was.

00:29:21.240 --> 00:29:25.488
It was like a pool, right yeah that was so cool.

00:29:25.608 --> 00:29:35.469
I saw that video and everyone was laying down on these floating mats yeah and I think you were playing the like I was yeah, and I was so healing.

00:29:35.469 --> 00:29:39.740
I'd love to hear some of your most powerful breathwork sessions that you've seen.

00:29:39.740 --> 00:29:43.077
People like people that have never been to breathwork class.

00:29:43.077 --> 00:29:44.807
Sometimes they're scared because they've heard.

00:29:44.807 --> 00:29:47.196
Oh, you might hear you know people screaming, you might?

00:29:47.237 --> 00:29:50.625
hear people you know crying and they're a bit, uh, nervous.

00:29:50.665 --> 00:29:52.500
That's what I hear for some people that it's gonna be their first time.

00:29:52.500 --> 00:29:53.003
They're a little nervous.

00:29:53.003 --> 00:29:54.835
That's what I hear for some people that it's going to be their first time.

00:29:54.835 --> 00:29:56.521
They're a little bit nervous you know.

00:29:56.521 --> 00:30:09.686
So maybe to release these kind of fears instead of, what would you say to people you know that are thinking of going into, you know, a breathwork class, but they're a little bit scared.

00:30:09.686 --> 00:30:11.201
What would you say to that?

00:30:16.615 --> 00:30:17.237
a little bit scared.

00:30:17.237 --> 00:30:17.898
What would you say to that?

00:30:17.898 --> 00:30:22.952
Well, I think there are a lot of marketing materials out there that do showcase the most intense parts that can happen.

00:30:22.952 --> 00:30:27.743
It's kind of the analogy like this People think lifting weights is going to get them buff.

00:30:27.743 --> 00:30:30.737
Right, it takes a lot of work to get buff.

00:30:30.737 --> 00:30:31.659
It does.

00:30:31.659 --> 00:30:41.799
It takes years, constant, nonstop grinding in the gym, pushing the weights harder and harder and harder to to maximize the load, so your tissues are breakdown over and over and over again.

00:30:41.799 --> 00:30:45.942
Also, on staying on top of your protein, making sure that the muscles are growing, right, um.

00:30:46.325 --> 00:30:55.086
So to have the expectation that you're just going to go to the gym and you lift weights, you're just going to end up like a buff bodybuilder, it it's like no, no, no, it's the same thing for breathwork too.

00:30:55.086 --> 00:31:04.182
Is that just cause you see these videos and and and hear these stories of people screaming and having such, um, profound experiences that that's what's going to happen?

00:31:04.182 --> 00:31:07.813
We got to strip away the expectation because, really, what that?

00:31:07.813 --> 00:31:08.273
What it?

00:31:08.273 --> 00:31:13.656
What it is is that it takes time for the person to feel comfortable enough to even allow that to happen, right?

00:31:13.656 --> 00:31:19.869
So for anyone who is hesitant when it comes to breathwork anyone who's hesitant about it.

00:31:19.869 --> 00:31:29.855
I think what we need to do is, uh, let them know that it's all about you, just you connection to your breath, and nothing else, that those things don't have to happen And're they're not necessary to happen.

00:31:29.855 --> 00:31:51.532
And it doesn't mean that they will happen, because I've taught thousands of classes and I've only had, truthfully and I think it's because possibly dealing with the method itself in the environment as well um, a handful of people that actually have screamed and have, like, really gone to like the next level of you can tell that they're they're really letting some terrible pain out and they don't know how to control it and it becomes like an explosion.

00:31:51.532 --> 00:32:07.028
So we're talking thousands of people in about five times and I tend to talk to those people afterwards and it often is that where they're like I just didn't know what to do with this, or they said I was told that this is what you're supposed to do when it feels this way.

00:32:08.413 --> 00:32:09.957
So this is what's tough about it, right?

00:32:09.957 --> 00:32:16.034
It's because breathwork is a journey to the inside, right, it's also a great way for you to just relax.

00:32:16.034 --> 00:32:25.252
It can be very peaceful, it can be so serene, to where we have people who come in that have 500 employees and their mind is always running, always problem solving.

00:32:25.252 --> 00:32:26.711
They come and do the breathwork class and they go.

00:32:26.711 --> 00:32:35.407
Wow, I haven't been this relaxed in years Relaxed that's how they felt, right, and then the person next to them will share something completely opposite where they go.

00:32:36.369 --> 00:32:44.354
I went back in time and I saw myself as a child and hugged her and said that I love her and then I forgave my abuser.

00:32:44.354 --> 00:32:50.074
I don't know how that all happened in one hour, but 10 years of therapy couldn't do that for me and that just unfolded.

00:32:50.074 --> 00:32:55.513
Thank you, right, so it just depends on where the person's at and their willingness to step in.

00:32:55.513 --> 00:33:00.071
Right, it's the giving yourself permission to open those doors and everyone takes it differently.

00:33:00.071 --> 00:33:06.153
So anyone who is nervous about it it's like this have intention without expectation.

00:33:06.944 --> 00:33:25.365
So if you're willing to step into a room where it's designed for you to safely express and experience your emotions, then you know that growth and discomfort are going to be both in the same place, because you have to go through that discomfort right Of hearing other people breathe, being in a space where other things are going on while trying to maintain your focus.

00:33:25.365 --> 00:33:35.153
I have to say at the same time this is very much how life is Me having this conversation with you to not pay attention to the colors on the wall, the plants behind you, all the sounds of driving, all those things.

00:33:35.153 --> 00:33:39.011
It just takes work right, having that awareness and knowing how to be fully present.

00:33:39.011 --> 00:33:43.026
Breathwork gives you some of the greatest tools to access more presence in life.

00:33:43.026 --> 00:33:45.669
Can you beat that Right?

00:33:45.669 --> 00:33:46.470
Can you?

00:33:46.470 --> 00:33:48.011
Can you replace that with anything?

00:33:48.011 --> 00:34:04.159
That's why breath work for anyone, anyone, anyone, anyone is so important when it comes to just having more presence in life and if that's what you're seeking, if you want to have greater connection and communication with everyone around you.

00:34:04.179 --> 00:34:05.522
Do some breathing exercises, come to resurrect breath work.

00:34:05.544 --> 00:34:11.237
Right, and mainly because, like you said, you know like it's Resurrect, breathwork is to safely navigate through your inner worlds.

00:34:11.237 --> 00:34:14.614
That means piece by piece, like you said, layer by layer.

00:34:14.614 --> 00:34:16.693
It's not just diving in and hitting you in the face.

00:34:16.693 --> 00:34:23.333
It's designed to teach you how to breathe, how to be aware of your breath, what you're feeling in the present moment.

00:34:23.333 --> 00:34:28.409
And then we go into all these other areas that are slowly peeling back the layers, one by one.

00:34:28.409 --> 00:34:38.257
That's why it feels like such a journey, because it is, and we might do five different breathing techniques in the whole hour, but you'll just think I don't know how I got here, but I feel different.

00:34:39.059 --> 00:34:40.039
Yeah, it's so true.

00:34:40.039 --> 00:34:42.521
I love the way you explain that because it's so true.

00:34:42.521 --> 00:34:46.728
Sometimes people are like, well, you know, I just felt really relaxed.

00:34:46.728 --> 00:34:48.050
I'm like, yeah, but that's probably what you needed at the time.

00:34:48.050 --> 00:34:57.090
How many times do people take an hour out of their busy schedule just to take time for themselves, right, Just to kind of lay there and receive and breathe?

00:34:57.090 --> 00:35:01.686
You know, I always say breath work is like your nervous system's best friend, right.

00:35:01.686 --> 00:35:08.949
It can really help you align and just calm and find peace and reconnect and kind of remember who you are.

00:35:08.949 --> 00:35:20.588
You know, and yeah, I just I love the way you explain that and now you're about to open up your second facility.

00:35:20.628 --> 00:35:21.710
You're like, oh my gosh, I am.

00:35:21.710 --> 00:35:23.072
Yeah, oh, that's right.

00:35:23.072 --> 00:35:25.956
You said it was like the most beautiful and I can't wait.

00:35:25.956 --> 00:35:26.476
I can't wait.

00:35:26.476 --> 00:35:28.478
You said August 2nd, right, open house.

00:35:28.659 --> 00:35:30.119
Open house August 2nd Open house.

00:35:30.380 --> 00:35:32.090
I'll be there, I cannot wait.

00:35:32.090 --> 00:35:40.576
And is this going to be a little different or same thing, like tell people what you do at Reconnect anyways?

00:35:40.576 --> 00:35:42.391
You know what you guide people through.

00:35:43.246 --> 00:35:46.012
Well, like you mentioned before, right, like what makes Reconnect different.

00:35:46.012 --> 00:35:53.018
It's the team, right, it's our mission, it's all that connection that gets formed, but it's the guidance and support right.

00:35:53.018 --> 00:36:13.179
So, like the guidance and support, I just had a conversation last night after breathwork class with a woman and she shared how her coming every day is like a whole other world of experiences, versus just popping in once or twice a week, because you get fully engulfed with this space, this environment, where it says it's safe for you to go inside and you can express and talk about whatever it is you have going on.

00:36:13.179 --> 00:36:15.554
Yeah, most of us don't have that in our life.

00:36:15.554 --> 00:36:16.237
No, right.

00:36:16.257 --> 00:36:19.371
So that's one of the the parts about reconnect that makes it what it is.

00:36:19.371 --> 00:36:26.813
And so us coming into scottsdale, like I'm excited to bring that there because it's reconnect is a mirror, right, it's.

00:36:26.813 --> 00:36:32.583
It's a mirror for everyone and everything, for you to have a chance to reflect on where you're at, where you've been and where you're going.

00:36:32.583 --> 00:36:39.469
And you, you probably know this because you've had, you've gone through that with what you shared and and how you felt called to come to reconnect, and you did.

00:36:39.469 --> 00:36:55.782
You answer the calling and the transformation that took place, and that's because of the support there, right if you absolutely the community, that's where I feel like that's my second home really I really do I, I, you know everyone's always so friendly and loving, even my kids, you know.

00:36:55.902 --> 00:37:08.666
They've really connected with everybody and it's it's become a yeah, a safe place, safe container to just be and be supported as I'm growing as well, you know they've seen my trends, you know, just like just trends.

00:37:08.666 --> 00:37:27.547
But from my book, like I was just going there, you know I'm like, oh, I'm healing, and then I'm writing a book, and then now we were on writer's island together that's right, that's right yeah, so yeah, it's been a wonderful facility, I think I'm excited for you to branch out to scottsdale, and maybe you know gilbert, maybe queen creek.

00:37:27.586 --> 00:37:29.648
that is, that's the big picture there.

00:37:29.688 --> 00:37:41.378
Yes, Gilbert Queen Creek tie-in area right there and I know you have also your app right, so people can tell them a little bit how they can find you, and you have your app.

00:37:41.418 --> 00:37:44.641
So everything is on my website, jeremymudikcom Just my name.

00:37:44.641 --> 00:37:53.646
It has all the stuff that's tied to me certification, my app Reconnect itself, any type of speaking engagements and things like that but, yeah, the app itself.

00:37:53.646 --> 00:38:05.315
You know, I designed the app because I was getting a lot of people who were from other states and other countries that were reaching out because they would hear about the breath or maybe I traveled somewhere and they experienced it and they're like, you know, hey, where can I get this?

00:38:05.315 --> 00:38:06.992
Like, can I get more of you?

00:38:06.992 --> 00:38:10.851
Because I live on the other side of the country.

00:38:10.851 --> 00:38:12.059
And so eventually it was like, hey, I need to make an app.

00:38:12.059 --> 00:38:14.228
You know, I need to make a product to where I can be on there.

00:38:14.228 --> 00:38:16.195
So it's all right.

00:38:16.195 --> 00:38:22.414
Now it's it's guided breath work, right, so it's a specific breathing techniques and also tied in connected breathing techniques.

00:38:22.434 --> 00:38:26.510
So like, for example, um, before this meeting, you have a lot going on.

00:38:26.510 --> 00:38:29.076
Like I just need to be more present, literally present.

00:38:29.076 --> 00:38:34.114
Breath Boom and it's five minutes of me walking you through breathing technique.

00:38:34.114 --> 00:38:35.181
That gets you more grounded into the present moment.

00:38:35.181 --> 00:38:35.744
And I'm talking to you.

00:38:35.744 --> 00:38:44.811
It's a video of me with you the whole time so you can see the breath move through my body while I'm doing it and there's music playing in the background.

00:38:44.811 --> 00:38:47.713
And then I have much longer minutes where you need to like.

00:38:47.773 --> 00:38:49.836
I'm dropping in and doing a full breath work session here.

00:38:49.836 --> 00:38:53.021
I need to grieve or I need to process whatever these emotions are.

00:38:53.021 --> 00:38:55.128
I need to bring inflammation down on my body.

00:38:55.128 --> 00:39:01.219
I just need to get it out to whatever that is, and you can do it in the practice of your own home and eventually it's going into.

00:39:01.219 --> 00:39:05.030
Right now I'm filming meditation audios as well.

00:39:05.030 --> 00:39:13.492
So to be, yeah, anything you need, like sleep, wake up in the morning, midday, um, check in with yourself, like things like that, and then also shorter ones between.

00:39:13.492 --> 00:39:17.871
Let's say, you're on a lot of phone calls and it's like a 60 second reset for breathing.

00:39:17.871 --> 00:39:25.347
Boom, let's lock in, go from here, and a lot more of the things are coming in the app, but it's everything that's in here yeah, I want to put it in there yeah, I love that.

00:39:25.367 --> 00:39:31.478
That's so exciting for you and we were on Writer's Island so kind of like was that your first TV show?

00:39:31.478 --> 00:39:31.980
It was mine.

00:39:33.666 --> 00:39:37.349
Well, legacy Makers, legacy Makers, You're right, you're right, that was our first episode.

00:39:37.349 --> 00:39:40.112
Yeah, that was the first one for us, that was the first one.

00:39:40.405 --> 00:39:42.929
I mean, how did you feel about Writer's Island?

00:39:42.929 --> 00:39:46.052
And be part of it?

00:39:46.052 --> 00:39:58.753
Know, guiding us through breath, work and helping us, you know just, you know to have these small groups where we can discuss what was coming through and guiding us, and you're always such a wonderful presence, you know, and so grounded.

00:39:58.753 --> 00:39:59.996
Uh, what was you?

00:39:59.996 --> 00:40:01.467
What's your experience like?

00:40:01.467 --> 00:40:03.414
What did you think about writer's island?

00:40:03.875 --> 00:40:22.728
amazing, yeah, and I like honestly amazing because and I think I shared a little bit about this on the last day you know to watch, to watch everyone kind of go from A to B, you know, and like that A is like this, all these expectations right, Okay, it's going to be like this, I have to do this, all these things, and then to watch it for like three days.

00:40:22.728 --> 00:40:26.356
Everyone just kind of lets those things go so they can just experience it.

00:40:26.418 --> 00:40:26.978
Yes.

00:40:30.684 --> 00:40:34.141
That, to me, is like the most gratifying when I can, when I can watch people lower those walls and just finally be themselves entirely.

00:40:34.161 --> 00:40:35.025
Yeah, cause that's kind of hard.

00:40:35.025 --> 00:40:37.693
That was my first thing is like it's all our first time being.

00:40:37.693 --> 00:40:40.670
Oh, there's production, the cameras and we're Mike the whole day.

00:40:40.670 --> 00:40:41.974
I'm like, well, that's going to be weird, you know.

00:40:43.344 --> 00:40:57.251
I'm like that's going to be really strange, but I actually forgot about me being Mike at this time, which was kind of nice, I think, because we already knew, like I knew, most of the authors on the island.

00:40:57.251 --> 00:41:08.447
I knew you, you know, of course, kira and Juliet and, and everyone is like my friend, so it made it kind of easy and kind of forget about the cameras and and just being yourself, right, yeah, and and just how sacred that island was.

00:41:08.447 --> 00:41:11.873
I mean, I kind of missed the food, the food.

00:41:12.255 --> 00:41:25.775
Britney has just got the greatest setup oh yeah, she's incredible, yeah that food, though it really, if it truly does feel like it replenishes you right, yes, and it's so well prepared and it's like the cleanest food you'll ever eat, and it all is delicious.

00:41:25.775 --> 00:41:28.487
So much light is what I feel like, that light energy.

00:41:28.527 --> 00:41:50.340
I feel just uh, so clear for my message and in my book and meeting britney turner and here hearing her story and why she, you know, I think was she 26 years old when she bought that island and I love that she called it ariel and she shared with us that she called it because when she was called to buy this island by god, she didn't have an aerial view of why yeah, you know of how she was called to buy this island by God.

00:41:50.360 --> 00:41:57.614
She didn't have an aerial view of why, you know of how she was going to manage that right and who's going to come there and eventually have a TV show on there.

00:41:57.614 --> 00:42:21.143
But she just trusted that calling and that's what all of us were doing on the island there Just really trusting we were supposed to be there, even though I was like I can't believe I'm here you know and I really tried to be so present every day and I'm still pinching myself that I was in that experience and I cannot wait to see it all come together here in the fall and be on tv.

00:42:21.224 --> 00:42:22.489
I mean, my kids are so excited.

00:42:22.489 --> 00:42:25.659
They're like oh my gosh it is really cool.

00:42:25.679 --> 00:42:27.264
Yeah, you gotta thank here for that one.

00:42:27.264 --> 00:42:30.992
She's a freaking powerhouse and she is she, she makes stuff happen, you know.

00:42:31.192 --> 00:42:36.128
So it's yeah, she ignites things in us right when she believes in you and sees you.

00:42:36.128 --> 00:42:46.989
I still remember when I first met kira brinton I thought I was going to just like a healing, grieving retreat at savannah in arizona somebody had texted me this event that's right, the one that I went to you.

00:42:46.989 --> 00:42:48.655
Yes, I thought, yeah, that's right you went.

00:42:48.675 --> 00:42:49.498
That's right the one that I went to you.

00:42:49.498 --> 00:42:50.885
Yes, that's right you went there, that's right.

00:42:51.105 --> 00:42:58.690
And I show up there and I meet all these entrepreneur and they're all authors and I'm like, well, I'm a dental hygienist, what am I doing here?

00:42:59.313 --> 00:43:00.175
Am I in the right room?

00:43:00.396 --> 00:43:03.746
I'm like I thought this was a healing retreat, not a writing retreat.

00:43:03.746 --> 00:43:12.320
And then, but then, as Kira does, you know, she inspires you and she's like no, I see what that's right.

00:43:12.320 --> 00:43:22.585
And I wrote so much in those three days and she ignited something and I still she had this practice we stood up on a mat and whatever came through the visions.

00:43:22.585 --> 00:43:27.536
And I had the visions where, oh, I'm going to be a speaker, I'm going to write a book, I'm going to do all that.

00:43:27.536 --> 00:43:29.067
I had all those visions in that retreat.

00:43:29.067 --> 00:43:31.730
I'm going to be a speaker, I'm going to write a book, I'm going to do all that.

00:43:31.730 --> 00:43:32.530
I had all those visions in that retreat.

00:43:32.530 --> 00:43:33.351
And the last it was a full moon.

00:43:33.351 --> 00:43:41.481
I remember we're all by the pool on the last day and she comes up to me and she's like I see you and just to hear that, you know, somebody sees you.

00:43:44.025 --> 00:43:49.014
Because I never thought I'd write a book, you know, I thought, well, some people started planting that seed a little bit after my husband passed.

00:43:49.014 --> 00:43:51.438
But I thought, well, I still have so much to learn.

00:43:51.438 --> 00:43:53.711
You know, I'm still in the beginning process.

00:43:53.711 --> 00:44:00.434
But then, when I met Kira, I knew she was a publisher and she's like, oh, I can help you write a book in five days.

00:44:00.434 --> 00:44:01.911
I'm like well, that's the only way I'm going to do it.

00:44:01.911 --> 00:44:06.871
I'm too busy, you know being a single mom with two kids and everything else.

00:44:06.931 --> 00:44:09.295
So I was like, okay, let's go.

00:44:09.295 --> 00:44:17.666
So ever since then, ever since I signed the dotted line to write a book, I mean you know life has changed so much for for even you.

00:44:17.666 --> 00:44:24.586
You know you were just kind of started with your reconnect and look at where you're at now and still growing and it's crazy?

00:44:24.606 --> 00:44:25.286
huh, yeah, it is.

00:44:25.286 --> 00:44:28.710
I know I know to get here, I know I know what happened.

00:44:28.710 --> 00:44:29.070
Yeah.

00:44:30.130 --> 00:44:34.375
But I'm so excited to see you keep rising and changing people's lives.

00:44:34.375 --> 00:44:41.519
I will continue coming to your classes always and go and reconnect, and I will be there on August 2nd.

00:44:41.519 --> 00:44:43.681
Yes, yeah, to celebrate August 2nd, 10 to 2.

00:44:43.681 --> 00:44:44.682
Yeah.

00:44:47.365 --> 00:44:48.471
Memberships are alive now.

00:44:54.126 --> 00:44:55.070
You're so great.

00:44:55.070 --> 00:44:55.831
Actually, jeremy has so many gifts.

00:44:55.851 --> 00:44:57.920
Okay, like he mentioned, he could sing, and all right, are you gonna like be bought?

00:44:57.960 --> 00:45:06.907
I'm definitely not gonna sing here on live television and he's got some killer dance moves which you know I was gonna see if we can see that them today.

00:45:06.907 --> 00:45:12.717
But I think you'll have to wait till Riders Island because you, you, you put, you know you have some pretty good dance moves on there.

00:45:12.737 --> 00:45:15.447
I did have fun, I had to you know it's like everything.

00:45:15.487 --> 00:45:28.494
It gets so serious sometimes and like and Kira talks about this a lot like we got to have fun and we got to play, like it's a requirement and the the last two times on the island I definitely stayed more like because I'm I'm like hired there to help, right, and I want to.

00:45:28.494 --> 00:45:30.175
I want to hold that space and be that stuff.

00:45:30.175 --> 00:45:38.126
You know, so for me to dancing and just let loose, I'm kind of like it's not in the cards for me right now, but on this one I just said you know what I can, I'm just going to have fun.

00:45:38.487 --> 00:45:39.409
And.

00:45:39.409 --> 00:45:50.561
I really, I really had fun just dancing my butt off, oh my gosh, when you have the big giant speaker on you and then you're like, oh yeah, dancing away, I can't wait, they cannot cut that out.

00:45:50.965 --> 00:45:52.349
I hope they do use it.

00:45:52.369 --> 00:46:03.432
Yes, they will, it was fun and it was nice that she had those games in a dance and I remember even when I went on the five-day adventure writing adventure, she'd have dance breaks yeah and I love, and we were in our pajamas.

00:46:03.432 --> 00:46:15.672
You know, I still remember the best right yeah that's amazing so, yeah, well, it's been such an honor to have you on here today and your busy, very busy schedule, so thank you, thank you, no, thank you.

00:46:15.692 --> 00:46:17.572
Seriously, this is great and I really appreciate it.

00:46:17.612 --> 00:46:18.614
Yeah, thank you so much.

00:46:18.614 --> 00:46:23.498
Wow, I don't know about you, but I feel like something in me just soften.

00:46:23.498 --> 00:46:30.202
Every time I talked to Jeremy, I learned something new, not just about breathwork, but about myself.

00:46:30.202 --> 00:46:42.039
He reminds us that we don't have to relive the trauma to release it, that our bodies are incredibly intelligent and healing happens when we learn to listen and let go.

00:46:42.039 --> 00:46:56.514
I'm so grateful to call him a mentor and a friend, and I hope this episode sparks something in you, whether it's your first breath work experience or you're on your own path of remembering who you are.

00:46:56.514 --> 00:47:00.148
You are the cause, you are the cure.

00:47:01.313 --> 00:47:09.070
If you're in Arizona, make sure to visit, reconnect mind, body and mesa, and keep an eye out for the new location in Scottsdale.

00:47:09.070 --> 00:47:15.681
You can also find Jeremy through the air breath app and follow him online.

00:47:15.681 --> 00:47:20.768
Trust me, your nervous system will thank you and, as always, thank you for listening.

00:47:20.768 --> 00:47:24.451
If this episode moved, you share it with someone who needs it.

00:47:24.451 --> 00:47:28.695
Leave a review, take a breath and remember you're not alone.

00:47:28.695 --> 00:47:33.887
Until next time, keep breathing on purpose and walking in your truth.

00:47:33.887 --> 00:47:43.777
With so much love, melissa Sue you.
